Feb 26, 2018: Over the past couple of weeks we have been astounded by the generosity of others. Our home is a little crazy right now. The study is all kitchen, plates, vases, appliances. The garage is couches, washers, dryers, recliners and desks. Half the dining room is kids toys/stuffed animals the other half is shoes, clothes, and books. The entry way is jackets, purses, winter wear, pajamas and electronics. The living room is boxes and boxes of stuff yet unsorted and OH YEAH upstairs is more stuff. Luggage, scrapbooking, sheets and curtains.
We thank everyone so much as many of these items are very nice. We want to be good stewards of all the money as we launch t…

Jan 31, 2018: We met with Chris Shelby and Mark Hooper at MRN to discuss our timeline. It was apparent to us to be fully trained we need to be in the US until December 2018. This was not an easy decision because our hearts were fully intent on the family being in Thailand starting in late July 2018. Pushing that out 5 months was difficult but was the right decision to ensure when we leave, we stay with the right "tools."
This allows for 2 things: 1) The full educational/informational side of what MRN is teaching and 2) The time to practice and implement the material being taught. As Chris rightly stated "Aviation does not make vocation." You don…

Jan 18-20, 2018: We spent 3 days with MRN. It could not have been any better. Life applications such as equipping us to be better disciple makers, helping us to better relate to those that were working with and teaching us to engage in "Discover Bible Studies" were key. As I mentioned before, this was a pivotal change in the way that we look at our service to Thailand. No longer is it service within anti-trafficking and trying to make disciples, it's making disciples who make disciples first within the realm of the anti trafficking industry: making and mentoring disciples who make and mentor disciples is our mission. This is a very time-intensive and relationship intensive work that is expec…

Jan 12, 2018: This is a pivotal time in our path. Chris Shelby at MRN asks that our team read "Contagious Disciple Making" by David and Paul Watson. This is explained in more detail in our first VLOG. The root for the change is the way we approach our service. Our primary concern is to make disciples who are making disciples through biblical guidance. We remain focused and will work in the sex trafficking industry but our goal is making disciples within this industry who catalyze the effort as leaders to make and lead other disciples.

Dec 25th, 2017: A very simple but enjoyable Christmas. Ashley would tell you it was the "Best Christmas Ever" taking it easy and playing an old school Nintendo with all the classics (Mario, Donkey Kong, Galaga, Dr Mario, etc.)
Very likely our last as permanent residents in the U.S.A.
